Many imaginative works of high level technology have been sent to us again this year from among which we announce the top 19 works.
Prize-winning works of the 4th Cutting Dream Contest sponsored by Mori Seiki Co., Ltd. have now been determined. The Cutting Dream Contest is a contest for companies, schools and research institutions that are domestically engaged in cutting work and that utilize cutting type machine tools, and the contest has been organized with the intention to improve and to exchange techniques and skills throughout the cutting work industry. We had the honor of welcoming Professor Atsushi Matsubara of Kyoto University (Professor and Doctor of Engineering of the Department of Micro Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering at Kyoto University) as the chairman of the awards committee for the fourth contest this year, and 108 entries were received from all over the country.
From among these, 19 works were awarded with a prize, and an awards ceremony will be held on November 14, 2007 at our Chiba Campus during the “Early Winter Productivity Show 2007”, and prize-winners will receive testimonials and cash awards.
Please have a look at works created on the basis of skilled techniques and innovative ideas in Japan, the nation of manufacture.
Mori Seiki will keep on providing opportunities of exchanges of the entire manufacturing industry through various events.
